I was treated to a close up of a hawk on a low tree branch along the road while waiting. It didn't move except for it's eyes as I slowly walked by. I've rarely seen one so close. Many spots so it was likely immature. A broad wing or a red-tailed I came up with from my birding days memory. Feathers ruffling in the breeze, talons tight on the branch as he/she balanced there. A nice nature interlude to the day.
Some regular customers waiting in the parking lot when I finally arrived. Very understanding folks! Out with the flag, up with the heat and on with the lights and we are open. And a few choice goodies from my holiday cooking put out on the coffee and tea table.
Sunday's customers are relaxed and appreciative of our large stock and seemingly never ending rooms. Consignor Larry Pruner of Valley Books from Amherst (valleybooks.com) came in for a quick restock. He is featuring a large selection of audio books (brand new) this month and next. Great for road trips and cleaning the kitchen! Now onward to answer a new customer's question about where is our Automotive section.
