Eugene, my intrepid co-owner is healing well and gaining strength weekly. He has even begun to drive after 10 months off the road. He should start to put in regular hours in January if not some half time before. My husband (and WABC worker) Peter is recovering very well from his hip replacement operation earlier this month. The walker is about to be discarded for a trusty cane. He has come a long way from the hospital room where in his after operation haze of pain he said to me: "Barbara, can I change my mind? I don't want this operation..." Felt good to see his sense of humor was intact. Lastly, we are so glad that Sunday worker Susan is back and feeling much better after a broken hand accident. Okay! That's enough for one year. Where are the Golden Times of our 60's and 70's?
Now about books. We have refreshed and stocked in the last month a couple of NEW ARRIVALS bookcases in the 2nd room. Some books get shelved directly into stock and some go there for a while why we try and make room for them in their subject case.......
Will have to continue after the holiday. Had a small rush of customers buying and one selling that took up the rest of the day. Til after the Turkey feast!
