This blogging media is all new to me. What I imagine is while I sit here through the cold winter months I can post some of mine and others...ie customers & consignor's... thoughts on this crazy rapidly changing world of used bookselling. With a little bit of the everyday life of a self employed book seller thrown in. Will I have too much? too little to say? We shall see. Though the latter has never been a problem with me!
It's getting to be after 5 pm. Very few customers come after dark it seems. Folks on the interstate of course can't see our great sign on the highway (BOOKS AND MORE BOOKS!). So time to start turning the heat off, outside lights on, inside lights off. Leave notes for myself about things I want to get done tomorrow....I promise this will get more interesting.
Upcoming topics include: Why are Palmer Cox's Brownies books not as popular as they were 10-15 years ago. Reasons to buy (another) cook book. What's so great about old post cards?
Onward to home and a meal that will definitely include one of the 20+ butternut squashes we harvested from our (only) 2 plants this Fall! YUM! Twas a great year for winter squash!
