The insides birds are on a great CD we have here to play called Classical Songbirds. Surround sound of bird calls with the Veronika String Quartet playing "among" them. A nice Spring listen.
Just sold a box of $1 books out of the garage annex. Nice to have that open. Just added 2 boxes of old Horatio Alger stories out there that were just a little too fragile and old for the shelves.
We have two new consignors taking a bookcase here at the WABC this month. Joe Pacheco, BLB #15 by the entry door, has much "Beat and off Beat" literature and modern and post modern lit. Also a shelf plus of "Advanced uncorrected proofs". These soft cover books are how a lot of lit first shows itself to reviewers and editors and ...? Some people supposedly collect them. Some more of them back in the Mezzanine's back room. Later in the month Barbara Paulson from Huntington will be filling up a book case. Stay tuned.
The requests to buy books are coming in steadily and this week I went out on two calls. Just a few bags each but it keeps the wheels of commerce moving along. And at one I bought a few Barry Moser prints for myself and a 1930's decorated book holder-rack. T'will be useful at upcoming shows.
Greenfield 20th Annual Post Card show is this weekend at the Congregational church on Silver St. 9:30-3:30 as mentioned in an earlier missive. Be there or be square. Something for every one. All for now...
